We learned Cloud Service Models; SaaS, and PaaS, in the previous videos. In this video I am going to explain about Infrastructure as a service (I a a S).
When users subscribe for I a a S, Cloud Service Providers spin up the infrastructure and provide to the subscribers as-is. Now the responsibility is with the subscriber to manage the infrastructure like upgrading the operating system, ensuring the high availability and scalability, improving performance and implementing security. This is called Infrastructure As A Service.
Engineers and organizations who subscribe for I a a S, require knowledge, and experience, similar to managing any on-premise servers, and solutions.
AWS EC2, Google Compute Engine, Azure Virtual Machine are some of the examples of I a a S.
In the next video I will show how all these 3 cloud service models work together.
